For this assessment criterion, you will be required to demonstrate that you comply with statutory frameworks that underpin service provision.
For example, you may show that you comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 by completing environmental risk assessments to ensure the safety of staff, service users and visitors to your setting.
Compliance with the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) 2014 may be demonstrated by showing how you deliver person-centred care, with dignity and respect and by obtaining consent before performing any healthcare tasks.
Challenging discrimination could demonstrate your responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010 and working with a service user to ensure that they are able to make decisions for themselves could demonstrate that you follow the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
