Use personal and professional development planning

For this assessment criterion, you will be required to implement, establish and reflect upon your own Personal Development Plan.

This will be a very similar process you use when working with your team members to develop their PDP.

Some things that you will wish to consider will include:

  • Clarify aims of plan to ensure the plan is designed to improve the effectiveness and impact of practice
  • Identify areas for improvement/ development of skills
  • Establish SMART objectives which are time bound
  • Identify support and training needed to achieve the objectives (including costs)
  • Identify how and with whom the plan will be reviewed
